This recommendation is designed for LoRaWAN® devices to reduce collisions and improve network efficiency in high-traffic conditions by enabling Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) in conjunction with the standard LoRaWAN® specification.

We'll explore the collaborative journey of the LoRa Alliance and academic partners in developing this TR, delving into the specifics of the CSMA protocol, including its configuration details. Additionally, we'll provide updates on the integration of this protocol into Semtech’s LoRa Basics Modem codebase and interfaces created for easy adoption.
