IoT often refers to massive deployments of LPWAN-connected sensors. As technology evolves, IoT will also be used for “critical” messaging where priorities are timing and message quality. The LoRa Alliance asserts that LoRaWAN and 5G together are the best complementary technologies to address massive and critical IoT requirements.
